I am wondering if anyone knows if the water below the dam is open now and is the boat ramp open for business. I have heard some scratchy reports that it might be but would like to try it out but would be traveling a distance to get there and woudl like to know before I go. First itme with new boat so woud this be a good spot to try it or not.
I just got back from Starks Sports Shop and asked the same question. Some one was in and said both Genoa and Lynxville are frozen in….
But with the temps coming in they won’t be for long.
well I was wrong on dam number for Genoa its dam 8 but it has been open for 3 weeks somaybe your source should check on things more frequent thanks
Ec was correct about Lynxville. Was open for awhile, then locked back up for awhile then opened again friday. Can’t comment about Genoa. Never made it that far north.
That’s right guys , the landings have been open a couple days
and then frozen in a few days, and back and forth. Look at the prop damage on Len’s boat and we were breaking ice just a week and a half ago. For about a week now though all of the upper pool launches on the main channel are open. Lawrence
