Just thought I would share this interesting pic with everyone. I’m not sure how the jig even made it that far. The perch came out of Pool 10.

It seems to me I have heard of something like this before,
    a perch and a rump……hummmm…….hummmmm……
    But…the jig…..mmmmm.
I think the late great Sammy Davis Jr. put it best ” ouch babe”

I cleaned a 16″ sauger last week for dinner, and when I flipped the fish over to filet the second side, I heard a unfamiliar noise. I started poking around in the stomach, and pulled out a 1/4 ounce jig. Probably would have looked like the perch eventually.

On a related note, Saturday at the airport I snagged a sheepie right in the, uh, vent. He came up real docile and gentle like, didn’t seem like he wanted to move much, attached as he was.

As good a time as any to remind everyone that March is “colo-rectal cancer awareness month”.

    hey Big Northern,
I bet you win a lot of stuffed animals at the fair.

There are similarities- like Saturday I spent money on bait, money for a new license, money on snacks for the boat, even bought a spud so i’d be ready if the launch needed clearing out. All told, probably $70 for the day. Kinda like the State Fair- spend a bunch of money to win a stuffed animal the kids ignore after 10 minutes and want you to carry back to the car.
