Ice Off River

Hey can any body thell me when you think it will be safe to get on to the river this year just got a new nitro boat and im wanting to fish. Davenport area!

I”m way up north, but it woul be easy to check river conditons and river temperatures, and ramp conditions.. in another 6-8 weeks, water levels will be way up, then there is wood and debris floating that is the problem. Maybe some members more local to your area will chim in. How about it Gianni. Jack..

Hey, I just moved from Davenport! I was back in town for a meeting last week, and I thought the river was fairly open… ask around and give it a look (maybe K&K hardware?). Easy places to look for walleyes and sauger would include up by the dam and the hydro dam in Sylvan Slough. Their are also some good downstream locals.

Not sure how much “high” water we’ll get this year. Not much if we don’t get some rain/snow in the next month or so.
