OK, just picked up the new license and was scanning the regs over for any new laws. I was pleased to find this one taking effect this year. Poachers Beware!

(Word for word out of the 2003 Minnesota Regs)

    License Revocation.

If within a three-year period, you are convicted of two fishing violations, your fishing privileges will be revoked for one year. Violations of fishing laws in other states may affect your fishing privileges in Minnesota.

Under the new gross overlimits penalty provisions, your license privileges can be revoked for three or five years, depending on the number of fish involved in the violation.

I think Iowa has something similar to that law.
I behave myself so I guess I don’t pay much attention to what I would have to do to lose my license. I wonder then if Minn. joined Ia. and Wisc. in that violation count?

Starting On MARCH 10TH, you will be able to buy the new licenses. Just received a letter from the DNR a couple days ago. That is a WISCONSIN license.

    Hey Pup!…
well actually as luck will have it… march 1 expiration of my “pool 2” license works pretty good…. cuz traditionally thats when I stop fishing pool 2 and focus on pool 4 and after that the croix….. the pool 2 vertical channel bite often drops way off about then… and in fact it embarrassed me last time I was out with only 1 fish in 3 hours…… I probably wont need a Mn license till opener…. most likely…
