White bass

Where can I go to get some fast White Bass action? I know to look for surfacing minnows and gulls but whenever I see a few minnows jumping along thr rip rap I don’t catch much. Would appreciate any info.

where are you thinking of fishing? theres good WB in the croix and the Miss….. pretty much everywhere…. and once you have it figured out its pretty easy….

I fished the Cannon river this morning. By the highway 13 bridge in waterville. Caught 20+ WB’s in an hour. Great fun!! I forgot how hard they fight. Didn’t have any luck with eyes, A+ morning anyways.

The lower end of lake Pepin out in front of camp lacouplis is usually producing a lot of white bass action right a bout now and in to the fall there is a big sand flat out there and a lot of people have good luck casting jigs right up on the surface and working them back to the boat when they are feeding other wise work the steep drop that falls off in to the realy deep water and that is usually were the bigger whites will hold any way it is hard to beat a 3-way rig and minnow combo to get theese deeper fish.
