Mike, I might be the only one who needs closed captioning so the cost may be prohibited. Since these are educational videos, contact the U.S. Dept. of Education for funding. For closed captioning, the National Captioning Institute in Washington, D.C.

    Guys,

A little update on the all powerful Gander/FTR alliance.:)

It’s looking very likely that Gander will also be stocking B-fishin’s James Holst designed river jigs as well. They obviously compliment the plastics and that leads to me to the video’s. If all works out, we’ll probably do the video’s too. It’s not my area of responsibility here but I can certainly help facilitate, more so if it’ll drive sales of the baits, which I most certainly think will.

    Mike T,

Have a freebie on “The Pup”.

Make promotional package out of it. A couple of jigs, a couple of plastics, all wrapped up with a “How To” video from some of the best in the biz…………….BAM!!!

I can’t tell you how often I see this with recreational fishermen…………..they don’t know what the new stuff is supposed to do, what it’s used for, or how it’s best used. I see videos with cups and maps and collectible items, but I think putting the two together in a demonstrative environment will only snowball the effectiveness of the business partnership!

20 years ago you couldn’t sell a Microwave oven without someone right there to show how it works and why it’s better than a toaster oven. Is there a house or apartment now without one? Something needs to be done to trigger the “why” anyone would want different jigs………….thus the video!!!

    Pup,

You need a Job? I can find a local Gander who needs a SuperSpokesman!

    That’s a great idea.

James/Dave any thoughts on this? Of course we’d have to wrap it all up in a neat package and slap a UPC on it.

We’re on it. There’s talk of doing a free insert cd to be placed with the plastics and other products to give a short tutorial with the items picked up as well as tie all the others into a nice, neat and tidy package that will group plastics, jigs AND the info on how to use them… together.

The cd will pull editted material from the videos but won’t be anywhere near as detailed.

Will you and Dustin be singing on the CD???? Are going to lose you two to American Idol?

Actually, we’ve chosen a poetry recital instead of the singing thing.

There will be a bloopers portion of the video is my understanding… and we did “bloop” BAD on several occassions.

I’m a long time visitor to the website, but just now registered. I’m a buyer of the video when it becomes available. I’ve been fishing Lake Pepin for about 20 years poorly, until I started reading the message boards. Last year was great, but I have a lot to learn. The video will help. I’ve already got the hat so what else could I need?

you no what you guys should do, wrap up a kalin, ringworm, and superdoo inside the package with the video. that would really be cool for people who don’t have any but could still go right out and try the techniques.

i don’t know if thats a possiblity, just a thought.

Just think if one of those packages contained a certificate good for a free lesson from one of the pros on the video. Steve

Thanks for all the interest guys. Maybe we can offer a discount for those that have expressed an interest in pre-ordering? I’ll talk it over with the bean counters and see what we can do. Your support is tremendously appreciated!

We WILL get back to everyone on this list that replied with a “put me down” as soon as we can.

Definitely put me down for a copy. I’ve been a lurker here for quite awhile and have been impressed with the quality of the site, and the participants. If that’s any indication, this video will be top shelf.

Can’t we just borrow one and burn our own. Maybe bootleg a few copies for beer money. I heard it was legal from a guy in a dark alley in Traer.
