Hi Guys. I saw the last post about WD-40 had on the FTR site. A lot of hits and some good replies…I would like to tell you a little about both WD and KNB. The people at WD-40 actually say do not use it as a fish attractant.. It works but it pollutes the water with it’s petroleum distillates. This is not KNB crying about competition,,, it is just an environment thing that we should stop.

There are many fish attractants that do no harm to your lakes. Some are made out of water and amino-acids, some are made of vegetable oils like soy-bean, cotton-seed etc. These do less damage to the lake. Our product is made of pure fish oils and will breakdown over time into food for plankton and small fry.

There was a lot of discussion on the FTL board about KNB and a lot on the FTR site. Seems you guys are cold but not out of the game. When I am sitting here in AZ you guys are going out on the ice and fishing. Great for you. I use to do it too as a kid back east, but now it is night fishing in 100 degrees. I like all the thoughts about using a camera. Like I said,, sounds like you guys have lots of energy and a little cold is not going to stop you. Great.

The KNB will work for you. The garlic catches everything, the Trout works on a cotton ball, the Walleye makes them really hold on long and hard. These products are VERY STRONG. They are not weak. I do not post my name and all and then give you weak, non effective stuff. My scents will all knock you over. I have a 400 page web site of testimony. You can come by and read. You can get the best price and shipping rate from this FTR, FTL web site. Dave has it in stock now. Don’t be sitting over a hole without it. I would also like to know if you put a few drops in the hole, will it prevent ice over. Take care and contact me any time for anything. Take care and good fishing. Cosmic>

Cool post and welcome to the posting community! I wish my bass pic had a gargantuan bucketmouth like yours!!! Nice catch!

Arizona hmmmm? I’ve got family and friends down that way but I’ve never had a chance to fish it while down there. I lived for a short spell in Fountain Hills and Mesa so I’ve got a pretty good idea of your location and available resources. Water, bluffs, and huge bass………..not to mention warmer weather………..hmmmm, you’re making me miss that place!!!

Good to have you on board and I’m looking forward to maybe hearing a report or 2 on your results down that way!! Oh, and thanks for sharing your product with us too!!!

Welcome to the website. Your product is definately strong as you advertise. I spent 2 days on Lake of the Woods in an 8 x 16 fish house using the garlic product. A bit got spilled during the usage and the resulting odor had the bomber driver/guide inquire if we were cooking pizza or something. It was his introduction to your scent. We feel that it did make a difference in our catch rate over a few of the other fish houses.

Yep… I too can attest to the strength of that stuff! I was sneaking a drop here and there while out with my brother in his perm shack. After the first one, he opened the door. A short time later he asked me what the hell the smell was!

And it does keep a hole from freezing over. I ended up catching 6 eyes, 2 northern’s and a dink perch to his one walleye. The bigger northern went 6#… not a bad fish.

I lived in AZ for a few years, but never got to do much fishing (college and all). It sounds like there are starting to be a few good walleye fisheries down there. I believe the state record was just broken last year with a fish over 16#.

hi KicknBass, I did get some sample bottles from Dave this Fall, and am pretty impressed, on some very cold icy days and very tough conditions (in the boat) put some nice fish in the boat, including two Saugers that were both over 20 inches, those were my nicest ones of the whole year, and got two the same day, which was the first day trying your product. Would sure like to hear a fish story behind the great looking BASS you are holding there, what a beauty. am also anxious to hear of some Spring time tales from AZ in the next few months, that far south, the good fishing starts THIS month. thanks Jack.
I also enjoyed the article in last month’s Field and Stream on scents, yours was right in the front.

I went out with Marty Prince (FTL) ice fishing last night…. was a “French Lake Frenzy” using the Kick’n Basss Garlic. Perch and walleyes fell for it…. no big fish… but lots of action!

Used one drop on a (crushed) minnow & Glow in the Dark Walleye Willospoon. I used my fingers to smear it over the minnow, lure, and about one foot up the line. My Vexilar told me I caught every fish that came to my lure!

Glad Dave has product now… Hey this thing with the cameras under the ice is new to me. First I haven’t seen ice in 22 years and any camera I own is not even waterproof.

So you guys do this night and day (cold just thinking about that) ? You dig two holes or use just one. Can you see two baits at the same time… one with KNB and one without??

On FTL the one gentlemen said he could see the fish take the KNB jig and not the other one.. so you guys have seen this. I have pages of testimony like this, but not on ice fishing.. so it is all new to me. Thanks for the replies. Cos>

    KicknBass,

This last trip out, I drilled three holes, put the AquaVu down the middle hole and did exactly that, had one bait with scent (garlic) and one without, both having the same exact set up. The set up with the scent outfished the other 5 to 1. It was very interesting to watch the crappies and gills come up to the scented one…first they were hesitant about it, but it didn’t take long for them to want a mouthful of it. I will hopefully get this on camera when the weather warms up, as I can record from my AquaVu, so I will be trying this here in the near future.

I now have a full line of the sample and by the sounds of it, I am going to give it a try on the Red LAke crappies this weekend.
