I agree 100%….now, my hope is that walleye limits are lowered to four. Jon

I hope that Wisconsin follows along. Similar topic: Is it true that in Ontario one can buy a license that encourages catch and relese? If it is true, do you think that it works to that purpose? Why couldn’t we sell two licenses. The one that allows more fish to be kept costing much more.

2 licenses-great idea. It may be tough to enforce. Lets say me and Brooke Burke are fishing on Pool 4. I have a catch and release and she has a “keep” license. There are 4 fish in the live well-whos are they?

Plus-for only $15 or $17, whatever it the cost is, does a $5 break on an annual license really make a difference?

That one would be way too easy on the warden Dave. If Brooke is in the boat, you’re obviously paying no attention whatsoever to your fishing rod, so all the fish are hers.

i went and fished lake of the woods last summer on the canada side. i think that there was an option that you could buy a regular license or a conservation license. there was about a 5$ difference if i remember right. you could keep two extra fish. we didn’t go for that one bit. a two fish limit is plenty for two people to eat a good meal. there is no need to keep more then that.

I think the new limit is a good start, are the Walleye and Northern and Bass the next changes to be made, and how long will it take. Jack…
