Ice thickness around Winona

    Anyone been out around Winona yet? How thick is the ice around Winona in the backwaters, How’s airport lake? Anyone had any luck yet?

    i fly at the airport a lot and there has been just a ton of guys out there fishing, it seemed to be that they were catching fish with the ones that i saw on the ice. didn’t get a good look to see what they were, but they were catching some. Ice seemed to be pretty strong but i don’t know about now, it still should be ok.

    Most backwaters have a good 7 inches even with this warm weather. Top can be deceiving but the ice is clear and strong.
