Pool 2/494 Access Conditions?

    I would like to get out Wednesday afternoon and fish pool 2 by Holman Field. Is the 494 access ice-free so I can launch with a 17.5′ boat? Thanks!

    As far as I know…yes. Dinosaur & Jon J will be on the river in a bit and I will be out around noon from the 494 ramp. With this warm water it will surely be open w/ a little ice floating down from upriver. I will try to give a brief report tonight.

    Hoping to get out for awhile on wensday afternoon. How was the fishing down there today? I thought i read somewhere the north ramp below 494 was open. Anyone fish on the upper part of the pool today?

    The 494 ramp is open. Only a small lip of ice on the water edge. No problems launching for us or any of the other guys out today. Keep an eye out for floating ice chunks.
