still a newbie?

hey all,
i wasn’t sure where to post this question so i just decided to post it here.

i just checked out the FAQ’s section of this wonderfull site. i was reading down the list and came across the one about the name things. in there it says that after you have made 10 post you are automaticly seen as an FTR member. is this right? i have noticed that I, as well as many other folks with more then 10 post are still listed as newbies.

it’s not like it will kill me to be listed as this but i just wanted to know what the deal was. who does all that kind of stuff anyway?

The change in title is ‘supposed’ to happen automatically as one of the feautures of this forum. But it’s never worked right. I hate it, you hate it… bothers every one else to some degree or another. I realize that the titles don’t mean much, but if its supposed to work then it should, right!

Here’s the scoop… EFN is going through some major modifications and upgrades, one of which involves our forum. We will address that stubborn “title” bug we have and come up with some levels a bit more meaningful and friendly than “newbie.” That is a default title by the way, I’m not sure what the heck a newbie is to begin with…lol

So hold tight. Satisfaction is just around the corner.

jake, Always the impatient one, remember..patients my friend…I do not see you as a “newbie” But as another angler that can teach me..keep on posting…..

you get me every time on that one don’t you swany. the thing is that your always right though, patients is the key to sucsess. no matter what you’re talking about. i just don’t think taht patients was built into my gene pool .

aw jake, I was going to ask that question,now I have to come up with 9 more so I don’t have to be a newbie
