battery question

    I have a 12v trolling motor and want to run two batteries in-line. do I connect + to + and – to – or do I cross them, + to -, I do not want to burn up my trolling motor so I would like to get this right the first time thanks in advance for yur help

    pos to pos will remain 12 volts

    Saddlertramp is correct, this is way is wired in parallel like your house wiring, if you go neg to pos on one side that would make it in series 24 volts. so again pos to pos and neg to neg. Good luck and good fishing.. Ron
