Lower Chippewa Fishing.

    I was wondering how the fishing is on the lower end of the Chipp from where it dumps into Miss on up. What of boat can you get in there. Mainly curious about eyes and smallies.

    This time of year you better have a canoe. It is very, very shallow all the way from Durand down. You can probably get by with a flatbottom or tunnel hull though. There are pleny of smallies and eyes to be caught in some of the deeper holes. There is pleny of drop offs and structure for these fish. Acutally where it dumps into Mississippi is a great place to fish eyes. If ya have any other questions just ask.
