Whole new river.

It has been very interesting to me so see what the season of high water in pool 2 has done to the river up high in the pool. For those of you that spend much time up there the area around the island just below the dam has changed dramatically. The side of the island on the side away from the lock has been cut much deeper, much further into the island itself. There use to be what were sort of little bays that would be real shallow with this flow rate they are gone now. The sand finger that use to extend way down from the down river point has been shortened up considerably too. The sandy beach that was on that side of the island is pretty well gone too. Below Hidden Falls on the opposite bank has been cut a little deeper too. I think the whole erosion thing and changing river is facinating and makes fishing moving water that much more appealing then spending all my time on flat water.
