Memorial weekend landed me a 15# and 9# flathead and a 10# channel. Flats on live bait and the channel on nightcrawler. Panfishing was tough, it took a 15 year old to tell us stubborn old fishermen where the fish were… on the bottom. I listened, took of the bobber and went down with the crawlers and there they were(bluegills). We bottom bounced from the bottom of sunfish down but didn’t come across any crappies. My friends daughter did catch a crappie here. Bobber\ice-jig\minnow but this was it. Two more flatheads were picked up buy someone fishing of shore with nightcrawlers at the bottom of an island. And smallpox yeilded us one decent bluegill on a bobber. Another gent did decent camping where a crick came into a slough and caught bluegills, rockbass, and eyes at night. Crappie slayer went below the dam and found a few crappie’s deep in the rocks but wasn’t bragging. Another boat down there had a 28″ 9.9 walleye in his well. (keeper?) A bad day fishing is better than a good day working. Hope everyone else had fun this weekend!
