Cast A Ways For Kids Donation

    Ron Schara’s program “Cast Aways For Kids” has donated aprox. 25 re-conditioned rod and reels to the EFN BB/BS Gathering. This means that all the kids who atttend will take home a fishing pole!

    Here’s some info about Ron’s program:

    Cast A Ways for Kids

    * Ron runs it from March to May (this is only the second year of the program). Depending how fast we can repair the rods and reels, we may run it again next year.

    * This year, the program collected around #3,000 rods and reels! All will be repaired and donated to needy youth groups and schools.

    We do only accept donations during the March-May program timeline.

    FTR and FTL friends and staff,

    If you are interested in donating your old rods/reels to this program, bring them with you to the EFN BB/BS Gathering event on Friday or to the FTR Get-Togeather on Saturday. I will see that the donated items get delivered to the Cast A Ways For Kids.

    This is a great cause. I donate some let over samples every year. Usually line and reels. All product goes to a needy kid. Let’s step up and pitch in for next year.
