Last Sunday the Mayflies hatched in Prairie Du Chien. I will be over there this weekend. I will post when I get back.

There were a couple hatches earlier in the week, nearly every night, prior to the cooler and rainy weather. This is up in Red Wing and I did hear a couple comments about hatches down on the lake as well. None of the hatches that I’ve seen so far have been extraordinarily heavy.

Prairie had’m bad the last couple of hot nights but this cooler weather I think have tamed them down a bit.

Word is high 90’s early next week. I would imagine Hastings will see a hatch soon. I had a couple on my screen door last weekend, but nothing heavy. Probably just in time for the get-together!

Stoddard had a hatch last Sunday as well… Not overly heavy.

The hatch near PdC was bad enough on Monday night that I had mayflies at my house for the first time I can remember. I live between the Miss. and the Wisconsin, about 5 miles from each. I prefished Winneconne this week for the BFL tommorrow so haven’t been on the Mississippi.
