Is the river level on the NOAA site correct about the forcast for the river in PdC to go back up 4 ft? Does anyone know why it’s going up that far? I know there was quite a bit of rain north of here and they want to maintain the drawdown at LaCrosse, but the fishing is just getting into a good summer pattern, what a bummer.

I was up at Everts this week for a guide trip and Friday it rained up to 6-8 inches. I dont know that Ive seen more rain in one day in my lifetime. Its going to be messed up for awhile again. Looks like its Lake time.

The rivers and creeks up here near Red Wing and north to the Twin Cities are raging, full of some of the dirtiest water I’ve ever seen. Hougie’s dead right on those rain fall totals… anywhere from 5 – 8 inches over a HUGE portion of the center of MN. And it rained again last night. Lake Pepin’s in decent shape but the river near Red Wing is pretty much goofed up for the time being and south of Lake City down to Wabasha isn’t much better with the Chip. River pouring out the filth.

    Mille Lacs anyone?

I just drove pass the Minnesota River and it’s a mess. Dirty, log jams and a lot higher than normal water level. I think it’s going to be a while before everything is back to normal. That is if it stops raining.

Thanks for the info guys, too bad it’s bad news. Here around PdC we’ve beeen pretty lucky and haven’t been dumped on lately, but north and south have been worse off. The forecast calls for 13ft up from 9 here, but only up around a foot at Lansing. I’m sure with all that dirty water going through fishing will suffer there, but maybe it will staighten up sooner too.
