Say Guys, Here it is !!
A few posts back someone was looking for a recipe for pickled fish, this I know, you will like !!!
Mix 1 cup salt with 1qt white vinegar
pour over 5 lbs chunk cut fish fillet, pike, walley, perch, cat, sauger etc.
keep in covered container in refrigerator for 6 to 8 days.
drain and rinse thoroughly and pack in jars or container.
Now, boil and cook 5 minutes,
2 cups sugar
1 qt white vinegar
2 tbs pickling spice
let cool
now slice onions, green peppers red peppers all in small pieces mix in with fish. Be creative, lemon,whole baby carrots pearl onions etc. Big Boys throw in a few hot chile peppers !!
Now pour liquid over fish and veggies let set 24hrs
Now enjoy !!!!!
This recipe was given to me by Bill Tolzman my fishing partner for over twenty years. I have modified the recipe to my taste, this and a MGD goes a long way !!!!
