had a good time on pool #4

Had a great 3 days on pool #4 that sure is some big water I had my little 14 ft jon boat and 15 hp that I just bought.Cought a few walleye on st crois near prescott.but I will never go there again!!! hooked into somthing big below dam on pool #4 could not get it off bottom only had 8 test line but faught for 2hrs drifted from dam to wisconsin channel and broke line at wing dam did,nt even see the thing. I think steve from everts cut my line so I would come back after it.I also have a question and it is sour grapes so forgive me in advance. I,m a retired Lt. from chicago P.D and I do,nt under stand this minnisota and wisconsin thing. I bought a used jon boat and fixed it up painted it. covered numbers on side. got title etc. but hears where I goofed I did not re-register it and took it up north. It just slipped my mind. Well you know what happened next. The sheriff from washington county Mn. Stopped me and asked for I.D he stated I had No numbers on boat. I explained about buying it not long ago and he said well make sure you register it. Well I told him I was a retired Cop and we shot the bull for a while he said if I known you was a cop I would,nt have asked all these questions I thanked him for the warning and I should Know better any way because I,m a old copper.Some of you may think this is diferent treatment than others get. well he did,nt know i was a cop and to be honest We do give brakes to other cops as long as the cops not causing public disgrace, in a accident or drunk in public or in a disp[ute with a citizen. Doctors do it lawyers do judges do it and most of the trades give each other breaks. It was not 10 min later that the pierce co. wisc. sheriff boat pulled me down. SAme procedure but this guy wanted me to send him a copy of the registration with in ten days. well I told him what a hastle that would be and told him about the minnisoto sheriff warning well he replied well thats them not us. well I then showed my Retired badge and told him 28yrs cop and he replied well you should know better.well he had me by the short hair I knew I made a mistake but no regostration on a 14ft jon boat is not a ticketable offence a warning is the standard proceedure.well needless to say I have ten days to send it in or it becomes a real ticket.I don,t under stand why the wisconsin guy over rode the minnisota deputy. Maybe thats why you see those stickers on bumpers that say ESCAPED FROM WISCONSIN

Huh.. dang, i awlay though that if ya just got teh boat, or just got all new registration that you had a certian time frame b4 ya needed registration on the boat. Tuff luck there Ranger. I have also had problems with the Pierce Co sherriff…. during duck season i didnt slow down soon enough for the no-wake….arrgh. I suppose they are doin thier job though, just sift thru everything until there is something slightly illegal then nail ya. What can ya do i guess.

hey mudcat it,s my fault, I had time but forgot about it, It,s the idea that the minnosota sheriff warned me to get it registered and that is called officer discreation the question is why did,nt the wisconsin deputy honor the minnosota deputy dicission instead he say well thats them and this is us. what kind of police relations you come awaay bitter.and to write another cop thats brutal.

Hey Old Ranger….We’re not going to hear about the old soap in a sock routine again are we!!???? Cool it! HaHa. Sorry to hear about your ordeal with the law. I guess the best thing would be to just get it registered and send it to them. Good Luck. Glad you had a good time up here. Hay steve old boy I think the soap and sock was used on me this time.thanks for the good time and letting me use your dock over night. I sure will be up again thats for sure and I,ll use a guide this time there sure is a lot of water on pool #4, and by the way that dynomite you gave did,nt work the fuse was to short. thanks again and if anybody reading this wants my opinion EVERTS is the place to go. In Prescott, you can have the Washington County Sherifff, Pierce county, and Dakota County Sheriffs, as well as the Coast Guard, and the DNR of both States! All entities were very visible this weekend. Sorry to hear you got pinched.

Look on the bright side, at least you got off easy 50% of the time. Most of us would have been ridden hard by both.

Well now I got a real problem. How do you get duct tape off? Some one mentioned about being visible,so that $250 I won at the casino bought me 100 rolls of camoflage duct tape. Well I wraped my boat ,trailer,motor and truck in camo duct tape well I should have stopped there but I did,nt. I striped down to my boxer shorts and wraped myself in camo tape ,it took 30 rolls but I did it.Well I stood next to my truck but, the wife could still see me.I do,nt think the neighbors saw me ,because they just shook their heads they usualy say somthing.WELL HEARS THE PROBLEM I can,t get the tape off. I was going to drive to the store and buy baby oil,but I taped the doors shut. I thought this would do the trick,be able to fish and not be hasseled by Pierce co. Well I,ll be up any way, oh buy the way, if you look around and don,t see anyone it,s probably me. By the way this tape thing was steve,s idea he told me the cop,s would not be able to see me and I could stay at evert,s for nothing because Who would they bill!!!.

now if there was a magic potion to make ya invisable.. that would be awesome!!!! just sprinkle on a little fairy dust and up, up and awaaaayyy….LOL
