From what I remember from the article I read over a month ago, you can pass the check point going south, but could not return back north of the check point. I dont remember exactly where the point of no return was but I thought they were going to have the Wisconsin park patrol house boat (forget the name) that patrolls at the Kinni anchored there on busy days. Sorry I cant give info in greater details.
