Dubuque rig

I am surprised no one has responded to the post about Dubuque rigs. I have heard of them and they sound like a good way to slowly work an area and to find active fish. I am wondering if the strikes feel different on the drop back line with live bait. By that I mean, with a a jig as weight is the feel different and is it harder to tell when one is getting bit? How do you work this rig, troll, drift,etc. That is the the most effective depth? Like to hear more about it.
