Need help!!

I am thinking of fishing the wabasha area, pool 4 this weekend. Where is a good spot to put in, also looking for a good bait shop in the area. thanks in advance

Don’t fish that area very often but if you are in the Alma WI area go to Main Channel Bait ph.1-866-219-2191. Lee has treated me great the couple of times I have been down that way . It is located right across from the lock and dam in Alma. There is a marina that you can put in real close to the bait shop as well

J. Harm, I would go with what Dustin said. Wabasha’s Landing is closed due to contruction. There are a few little landings in the Wabasha area, but for a first timer to the area I would stick with the Alma landing.

I vote fo Wabasha simply because the fishing is better, at least for me. Although the main landing may be closed there are several others, including a few if you take the bridge from Wisconsin to Minnesota. My recommendation would be to stop at the Main Channel in Alma, but yur bait and then move on to Pool 4 at Wabasha. Another plus is the guys in Alma can probably tell you where to launch.
