Wabasha Boat launch closed!

    Just informational, the Wabasha city Boat Launch is now closed due to construction. Launching on the Parkside Marina side and parking on the main launch side is not an option, the whole area is closed. I don’t have any info at this time as to if it will reopen this year. I went fishing Tuesday evening, and it was closed and the sign only read launch closed as of 08-09-04. I will dig for info and post it, and if anyone has any further info please post it.

    I checked out the Wabasha site yesterday and there is a sign that says to use the Parkside Marina launch site! There were boats launching out of the Wabasha site today when I came back thru. I launched at Lake City today. I have a season pass for Wabasha and was told that the site would be closed in the fall. This is not fall so I am sure you can launch at Parkside if you have a season sticker or pay the price. Like I said, the big sign said to use the Parkside launch!

    The signs have been up for two weeks now..saying the ramp is closed and they have let you launch.
    However the barricades have gone up today..no one will launch out of Ikes for the rest of the season.
    You must use Parkside now…
    This weekend should be a real mess down here ..
