When I first saw the top of this green buoy smashed in, I hoped that a barge had hit it. But I went to take a closer look, the debris wedged in it is a chunk of fiberglass hull. Feel bad for whomever hit it. I assume the bumper that’s now tied to it was put there after the fact.
It’s a couple miles south of Prescott. With the raising water, maybe it will be submerged again. It appears to be close to being the correct position to mark the channel so if your in the middle or toward the Wisconsin side a bit, you should be fine.
