I’ve launched recently under 494, but had to unhook the trailer and lower it in the water, PITA. Anyone know if Lions Levee is doable in “normal” fashion? I know I could launch at the marinas, but wanted to save my $ for lunchtime beer at Miss. Pub. Thanks for any help on the launch conditions, see you all out there!
Lions is no different. Need rubber boots to get out to the dock. Having a second person with is nice so one can just ride in the boat as the vehicle is backed out into the water. For myself loading and unloading alone the $10 spent over at hidden harbor is well worth the money in higher water. Still leaves plenty for a beer and food on the patio at the pub.
Thanks, Mike! Yeah, you’re right, and River Heights launch is also really easy and either one is cheaper than the cranks I’ll lose during the day. I’ve only got myself and my 3 year old, so I’ll wait a few years to have him be my high water helper.
