I recall hearing on the news that a large tug boat in eastern Iowa on the sippi sank yesterday. It thought I recall it having 100,000 gallons of diesel fuel onboard. Anybody hear if or how much fuel leaked out and/or how they containment is going…not sure exactly where on the sippi it is….
Its in Leclaire right across the street from the American Pickers’ shop. They contained it and I think they said around 10,000 leaked. They contained all of the oil and gear lube. The river is closed over here to all barge and recreation boating for an 8 mile stretch.
