XT Solar

I’m looking for XT Solar in 6 and 8 lb., 1000 yd. spools. Bass Pro and Cabelas don’t sell it anymore. Does anyone know were I can order this stuff on-line? Can’t find it anywere in Hastings and really don’t want to drive all over just for line. Thanks.

Funny you bring this up. I was down at the sportsmans show last week and asked a Berkley Rep a similair question. He mentioned that the XT solar is being replaced by Berkley XT Hi-Vis green.

Same stuff, but will be labeled differently.

Anyone else hear this?

I called my promotions managr at Berkley and she confirmed that 400yrd spools would be available through this year. However, as stated above, the XT HI-Vis Green will replace the solar. They will be virtually thye same line, diferent packaging and marketing.

Thanks for the info. I new something was up when the big boys stopped carrying it and no one else had it. Looks like 400 yard spools are all its packaged in now.

For anyone who’s interested, I called the Berkley Outlet Store and and they had some 1000 and 3000 yd spools of XT Solar left (very few) and the price was very right. 8$ and 15$ respectively. The number is 1-800-374-7158.

Thanks for the tip Dirk. I just called them and ordered several 1000 yd spools. At that price you can’t go wrong. I love that solar for jigging, lindy rigging and 3 way. You always know where your line is and what’s going on down there. Thanks again. Bret

Just ordered a couple spools myself. They are going to ship yet today. 4.95 shipping not bad. They are now out of 3000 yd. spools of 8 pound test. Thanks for the tip.

Has anyone ever asked Berkley why they do not produce the XL line in the solar color? I really like the color but would prefer the performance of the XL line.
