We were out late last week and into Saturday and the bass bite on the river was HOT! We went out for some early pike, on pool 6, but the suprise was a fun one. Of the three days we were out about 2 hours each time and every day we hit around 7 each. The biggest was 19.5 and many 17+ all largemouth. They were hittin aggresively and it has been a real good time. Is this normal or some fluke deal? Anyone else finding the same thing?

I have seen this on lakes around here. Specifically in the Lindstrom area, the Chain of Lakes there. Bass go on a late ice binge, and you get them along with the crappies and sunnies. Also North Lake and the Vermillion.

I’ d have to say it is typical pre-spawn activity.

I have witnessed similar patterns in some of the small streams and rivers where smallies call home!

Sounds like a lot of fun!!!
