My son and I wanted to go out and have some fun bass fishing. We didn’t care about trophies, just numbers and fun! Well we had both…went to Cattail Slough in Fulton, Il and had a blast. 3 bass that measured 16.5-18 and each weighed a little over 2lbs. A 27″ northern and a 24″ northern as well. Some bluegills that thought they where tough joined the fun. It was a great day! Smiles all around.
It looks and sounds like you guys had a blast! That used to be one of my favorite spots to fish! You never knew what you were going to catch in there.
Just thinking about it brings back some great memories, it will always remind me of one of my fishing buddies who was the first person to introduce me to cattail slough. Unfortunately he is no longer with us anymore.
Thanks for bringing back the memories and it looks like you guys made some of your own!!
