    Hello IDO members,

My name is Nick Schlesser, and I am the Large Lake Specialist for Lake Pepin/Pool 4 with the MN DNR. Some of you will probably recognize me as the near 7′ tall guy you have seen at Evert’s resort or other accesses around Pool 4 for the past several years.

In an effort to provide information to the public I will occasionally be posting reports, data, or responses to fisheries concerns that develop for the Lake City Fisheries Area. I will not be heavily involved in the back and forth of many forum discussions, but welcome folks to contact me individually via phone or e-mail, or invite me to speak at a group or club gathering. I will do my best to address any fisheries questions as quickly as an often busy annual sampling schedule will allow.

    Thanks and Good Fishing,

    Nick Schlesser

Welcome aboard Nick. It will be nice to have some “first hand” information instead of speculation.

    Welcome to IDO Nick!

Hey, how do you pronounce “Schlesser”?

Us sturgeon guys get another beni from Nick working out of Lake City (and stopping into Everts frequently), he’s worked out of the Baudette office for some years on sturgeon tagging.
