    From Google Alerts…

Prairie Island nuclear plant’s two new steam generators will be passing through Red Wing on a Mississippi River barge at about 3:30 p.m. today.

The generators were made in France and were shipped New Orleans, where they were transferred a river barge. They began their northbound journey at the end of January.

The barge and the generators will be able to be viewed from Levee Park or Bay Point Park.

Mind posting a picture? I saw something crazy looking going up the river and wondered what the heck it was. Might have been that. Thing musta had 15 crew men on board running around it when it hit lock 15. Took a hell of a bounce off the concrete wall, I felt the vibration 200 yards away.

Only reason I bought my LUND, MERC and FOLBE rod holders was because it was made in the good ol’ US of A.
