Bass camp ramps

I just drove up to Bass Camp and talked the guys. They have their work cut out for them today. The fuel dock sunk and they are cutting the dock into pieces and pulling it out right now. They have not had fuel for about 4 years but the dock was nice to have before the main ramps opened.

First, I asked the guys about the ramp fees since it was previously posted that fees were going up to $12 per day – they said this is absolutely not true. The current plan is to have the same $7 daily ramp fee. They did mention there is an increase in the camping fees that might have been confused with the launch fees.

Second, no, the ramps are not open. The “high water” ramp might be open in a few days but the main ramps are going to be a while yet. Unless someone really goes to work on the ice I would think the weekend might even be iffy but possible for the beach/ high water ramp/ fuel dock ramp whatever you might know this as.

I know they are launching on 5a using the ramp behind Fountain City Ford. The municipal ramp just south of Fountain City looks like it was open and then froze in again but I hope this is open by the weekend.

It’s coming but not soon enough.

Stopped at Basscamp on my way home tonight. The high water gravel ramp where the old ful dock was is now open and guys were using this ramp today. Can’t give a personal report on the fishing here since I was on pool 4 today but thought some might like to know about the ramp.

I did hear that this ramp was very shallow this year so be careful.
