Finger Lakes?

Once every fall I try to hit the Finger Lakes behind Kellogg for some fishing. I like fishing the area because it is fairly shallow so there are few if any boats around. I only have a canoe so that works for me. I want to go this weekend but this year I am wondering if the water is to low for even canoe navigation. I appreciate any thoughts. I haven’t been down to the river in a while and it is an hour drive for me.

Couple guys I know were down there about 2-3 weeks ago. They got a small boat in ok but it is low. You should be ok in a canoe for the most part. They said fishin wasn’t very good.

Thanks for responding. I like it back in there because the water is usually real calm and we can get to spots that other can’t. We usually throw topwater frogs and get some good hits from northerns and bass. It helps if some of the scum on top has died off. I guess I’ll find out on Sunday. This is a picture from last year.

Anyone heard any updates on the Finger Lakes? I’m wondering more for ice fishing and whether they might hold enough water for ice fishing this winter or if they’ve dried up etc.
