Had a great day fishing with my son on Sunday up by Everetts. Slow bite for us, but the highlight of the day for my son was this turtle he caught on a crank. Safely released.

It’s his official Boy Scout hat. Which, I might add, is the 2nd one of the year. The last one we lost somewhere around Lacupolis earlier last month.

I have come to the conclusion that you should have killed that turtle –

Turtles – and their annual migrations – are at the root cause of the spread of all AIS….This must be stopped ASAP!!!!

Think about how spiney water flea, curly pond weed, milfoil, etc. spread from pond to pond….No boats, no fisherman, no bait, no live wells – just turtles.

    They are the common thread….

    Turtle soup is the cure!!!!

Just be happy we let it go. My son was very disappointed I didn’t let him bring it home with us. I figured I didn’t need any “trouble” with the very polite and friendly DNR folks as we left. Heh, heh.

Great pic. Got a similar one of my little guy with a clam on a crank about the same age. They grow up too quick.

Your “little guy” could scare the blonde off Clay Mathews. Little guy……right.

He has grown up a bit Tom. Off to school at Madison still. I think the old man can still take him.

I’ve seen you golf. I wouldn’t put money on that.
