A coworker from Illinois is staying at Camp Lacupolis ( mp 765 ) on Lake Pepin and I will launch my boat from there.
Any suggestions on where and how to start fishing walleye in or close to that area?

Lots of good areas to fish near Lacupolis. To start with you can fish all around the campgroud and up the shoreline on the MN side all the way to Lake City. On the WI side of the lake look for breaks in the depth and fish those areas. All the way up the WI side of the lake there will be flats with steeper breaks that basically follow the shoreline. I will normally fish on or just above the breaks depending on the depth I’m targeting. Last week I did really well on Saugers trolling crankbaits along the break in 15 to 19 FOW. If you are not having luck in the Lake, you are just minutes away from lots of river and backwater fishing from Lacupolis to Lock #4 (Wabasha area). Good luck out there.

This man speaks the truth. Don’t need to go far when you launch out of there.
