I’M LOOKING AT TWO DIFFERENT BAITCASTERS.THE CALCUTTA 250, AND THE MILLIONAIRE CVZ 253.THE DAIWA HAS A LIITLE MORE LINE CAPACITY. COST’S ABOUT $30 MORE. I’VE OWNED NUMEROUS SHIMANO’S,NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. WHICH WOULD BE A BETTER ALL PURPOSE REEL ??

I haven’t worked with both reels so this isn’t a fair judgment but my experience with Shimanos is an overall excellent thing. However, I have learned that not all Shimanos (even the same models) are created equal, and therefore a bit inconsistant. I know of instances where they’re “the greatest caster ever” to “an absolute haven for the dung beetle”. Shimanos are great but if you chose to go with one, take it back for an exchange the second you think there’s a problem. Repair isn’t good enough. Just get a new one.

I’d buy the Shimano. Musky Don, if muskies are your choice, I’d spend a few more $$$ and go to the CT-400. They’re indestructable.
