I saw on Facebook that the location of this event may change to the Mississippi Pub. Any update?

Any newlyweds going to be in the contest this year?

    not this one…

Since I sold the boat, I’m looking for a ride this year…looking for a bump up from my 3rd place finish last year.

Really!? I thought you loved to fish?

Going to kick that idea around over the weekend and decide on monday. Let me know your thoughts on it. We would have food and bar service there as compared to the pot luck in the park. If there is bad weather we could move inside to. On the other hand last year went over very well and maybe we should just stick to that.

Location is the only thing that is up in the air right now. Everything else is going to run pretty much the same as last year. That will make it easy for me. Ill just have to change the dates, cut and paste and put up the new notice for this year. Sounds simple enough to get done this weekend.

We’ll have a box of Klenex on hand just in case that doesnt work out.

Same time, Same place again this year guys. Lions Levee. No sense trying to fix what worked last year.

Contest sign up is in the walleye forum this morning. Please add your name there so we can get a idea of how many boats to plan for.

Pot luck get together will beheld in the park again after the contest. That was some great food last year. I put up a post for this a week or so ahead of the contest. This will give us a rough idea of whats being brought and whats needed. Would hate to see us all show up with the same thing.

Looking forward to this again this year guys. Should be a great time. If you have any questions feel free to ask or send me a PM.

    Thanks.

Big news for the contest this year. BfishN tackle has sent us a couple of boxes of tackle for additional prizes at the contest. Jigs, plastics, blade baits and more. Even seen a few packages of the new Moxie and Pulse R colors. This will be a great addition to the contest and I believe everyone will go away with something.

Even the walleyes smile when it come to BfishN tackle.

Got out fishing again today…bite was pretty good. Caught all our fish on pink pearl super-doos tipped with a small piece of hot dog. Two weeks to kickoff!

The walleyes must be looking for something different. We were trolling whacky rigs and sinkos with similar results.

Getting closer all the time guys. So far it looks like we will have about the same turn out for the contest this year as last year. That was 14 teams last year if I remember right. Pretty good turn out for a small contest.

Cooler temps are going to be coming in for the weekend. Im good with that as all these nice days over and over again are getting a little old. Think its any ones guess as to what it will do the fishing. My guess is not much. The current bite seems to be good one day, off the next but there is still fish to be caught every day.

Look forward to seeing everyone there this weekend. If anyone is on the fence about fishing the contest or has any questions let me know. Think there are still a few guys looking for someone to fish with to so let me know if your still looking for a partner for the contest.

I need more than that. Is the main dish(s) covered? Is side dish or desert the option to bring? Thanks.

I see there’s a category for biggest cat. Since they are keepable on that stretch I assume that means “dead or alive”?

We will go with “dont ask, dont tell on that. What I dont want to see is a bunch of catfish killed just to try and win a prize. We just need a photo for the contest. If you want to eat them they can be kept out of pool 2.

I cant even imagine wanton waste with the type of people fishing this contest. Not even possible. I was joking.
