I’m hoping that some of you more experienced fisher-folks can give me some advice on what kind of plastic shad bodies you use on jigs, and where you get them. I used to buy the Mister Twister “Sassy Shad” brand, but can no longer find them in the sizes/colors I prefer.

Thanx in advance for any advice you can provide.

    leinieman,

Look for the banner on the top of the forum pages as you are making your way around the forums. You will see a banner that says “Got Worms” with a pic of a ring worm. This should get you there. You can also just keep clicking on the refresh button on your computer and it will have a new banner come up about avery 2 or 3 clicks.

I’ve tried that several several times but was looking on the home page like previous post said. It could be frustrating to someone to get advise to go to home page and not find what you are looking for. Also I don’t see any referance to super doos only the ring worms after clicking the banner. Are they really on there?? Super Doo’s that is. Thanks for the info. Steve

Not the homepage, look on the top of the forum which would be where youre at right now. If you dont see the worm banner just keep hitting the F5 key, or clicking the refresh button on your browser and eventually you will see it. Im not sure what your goal is, if you want to buy superdoos click on the worm banner and call bfisn tackle. If you just want to read about superdoos, their is a product review by Beav that is pretty good. From the home page click on product reviews and you will see it.

    ‘eye people,

Sorry for being so pesky, but how about some more advice on shad bodies? What brands/sizes/colors are you folks using? Any innovative ways of fishing them besides long lining and snap jigging? Where’s a good place to get them?

Thanx in advance for any info you can provide.

I was referring to hairjigs post that said “go to the homepage and click on ring worms and superdoos”. It’s not on the homepage. I know that. I can find the ringworms no problem there at all. The problem is I don’t see any mention of super doos there. Do they come in the same colors as the ring worms? Are they the same size or do they come in different sizes? Maybe to make it easier for someone that would like to order them would be mention them somewhere on that page (say order your superdoos by calling bfisn tackle). Have a good day Steve

eye popper, beav, and myself generally use 3″ or 4″ shad bodies. we used to get them @ mrs.earls (ghelf) on hwy 35 just north of De Soto there’s an artesian well out in front and the bait store is set back against the bluff. we thread them on a jig the same as you would any plastic, meticulously so they look perfect. (no pain -no gain) you can either rip them vertically or pitch them on flats or drop offs. hairjig

Yep I couldnt agree more. The person that designed that page designed that page just for ring worms. But if you do have questions you could get them answered by the owner of bfisn tackle.

Hi, Jim I enjoyed your talk at the Okauchee fishing club meeting. I have a question about hooking ring worms. Do you just tread them on a jig like you would a grub tail or do you rig them weedless like you would when “Bass” fishing in cover?
