Why does it take so long to view this forum?

    Odd that it only effects some and the server shows no slow page requests. I honestly don’t know where else to look. Dave kicked tires for 3 hours last night and found nothing. And of course the page in question is lightning fast for him as well.

    Not that I’m denying an issues exists. I’m sure one does. But here’s what I saw for page load times when I accessed the Mississippi River forums.

    “Generated in 0.014 seconds in which 0.005 seconds were spent on a total of 15 queries.”

    Trying to fix issues that cannot be seen by those trying to do the fixing and leave no trace in server log files is a tough nut to crack.

    We’ll keep looking and monitoring hoping that something drops us a breadcrumb.

    This one was fairly fast at 10.15 seconds. Not uncommon to see 1+ minutes. On a rare occasion it will grind for more than 5 minutes.

    Here are the last 4 page loads. 10 seconds may not seem like a big deal, but it’s litterally 1000 times slower than any other IDO page.

    Crazy. We’re digging through the code right now looking for anything that could possibly be the culprit.

    Right now Dave and I are praying we start to see the same thing you’re seeing.

    Light bulb…. do you see the same slow page load times when you’re logged out?

    By chance are the fast page loads coinciding with a particular time of the day?

    Right now we’re grasping at straws looking for any constant we can come up with to help diagnose the issue. I thank you for your willingness to help with this.

    Weird. I just went in 4 times. Twice it loaded in under 3 seconds, once at 10.5 and once at 15 seconds.

    For what it’s worth, if you’re on a good connection pages should load in a fraction of a second. Click-POW!

    I did have this problem as well, but I have not experienced the problem lately. It is crazy fast for me now… But I did notice that problem before, and thought it was just me, until I read this…

    Let me add… I would go through long loading times like Jon has experienced, times, it could have gone minutes if I just didn’t get tired of waiting. I would click a topic on the left bar I thought might be in the Miss. forum to bypass the wait.
