Does anyone know if either of these pools are “no wake” as of today?

    Thanks,

6 is only no wake threw the usual area. Just below the high way bridge to just below the boat club. There should be markers out. No special regs for high water.

Do you see people flying through there a lot or is it just me? I know I saw people cruising full throttle through there last year. I learned from the bass boats out there to just run the back side.

Tom Hemker the C.O. for the Winona area said that if you run outside of the channel markers (wis. side of the markers) that the no wake doesn’t apply. The no wake is a city of Winona rule and being outside the channel markers you are in Wis. waters there for the rule doesn’t apply. Winona county boat patrol has said the same thing. That only works down to the point of Latch Island. From Latch to just below the bridge in the main channel is all no wake for its all MN. waters threw there. The back channel is only a no wake 100 yards off the shore line on the MN side. That is only to shut up the whiners that have boat houses.

The issue here is that someone who “knows” does this and several other who “don’t know” watches this and decides “if they can do so can I”. I see the same think on Lake Winona where guys run that at WOT or at least on plane making a wake. The no wake rule is also a city rule and supposed to be enforced by the Winona Police but I’ve never them stop anyone.
