Went camping this past weekend at Bass camp with the kids and the GF got them out fishing on sunday and decided to hit the back waters due to the “slight” breeze we had. Fishing was good ended up with a nice pile of crappies and sunfish. The most exciting moment was when my youngest daughter caught her first fish that i’ve witnessed. A channel cat about 2-3 lbs I had everything with me this weekend but the kitchen sink and a camera i was so upset i couldn’t take a picture of her with it but i won’t soon the event i can tell you that! Other than forgeting the camera it was a great time on the water

I would forget my drain plug before the camera! LOL!

I use to carry a disposable with that stayed in the boat just for occasions that you’ve described. After it was three years old, I figured the film was too old for a good picture and tossed it.

I have this feeling she will be just as excited on her next fish anyway Rick!

That memory won’t go anywhere. I can close my eyes and still see my oldest daughter at 4 years old ice fishing on the dike road and her first sunfish.

Good job getting the children out with Ma as a family.

Yeah i keep telling myself to pick up a camera for the boat and i always seem to forget when i’m at the store GO ME lol

Yeah Tom it’s always fun to get the whole family out even if it seems cramped in the boat with 5 ppl it’s still worth it i’m thinking i need to get back to basics with the kids though and get them on some sunnies off the bank they lost interest pretty quick on sunday mostly due to the hot weather i think (they wanted to go swimming) plus the fishing wasn’t super fast for kids but good enough for me lol
