    Well,

If you want the best kicker ever made for a walleye rig Id buy it! Make sure you get the High Thrust one with the trim and tilt. This motor is unreal! Just curious, do you know who you are buying from yet?

Great motor. Just bought one with my new rig. The 2001 models are hard to find. My 2002 is on order.

The T-8 comes standard with the high thrust lower unit, tilt/trim and electric start.

We ran one last week on Mille Lacs on a Ranger 620. Pushed the boat around no prob. Quiet as can be. Stayed in place while running those 2 1/2 fotters wide open.

    Get One!

I don’t Know about the T8 exactly but I sure do know about the 9.9……. My dad has one that is 6-7 years old and it has been through he11 and back…..it still runs great…. It sarted out on a lund 1775 in 94-95 and is now on a 1800 lund with a 175 Yamaha…. have not had any troubles with either motor. Yamaha makes a motor that is as dependable as any out there or more

Hougie : I have not made any decisions on where to purchase at this time. I have made one call to hear they are a hot item so I will have to get some money down on one soon. I do plan on a call to La Cannes this morning to see what they say.

There is a bit of range that I have found so far. Most are asking $2400 to $2850. I do have a possibility at a bit less , I hope to close a deal next week.

I fished with H20 in May this year. He has one. I was absolutely amazed at how quiet and smooth running it was. Because of that experience, that exact motor is now on my toy list too…. ….never seen another operate like it before. ….cant’ wait!

The T8 is amazing. I’ve put 180 hours on mine in the last 5 weeks (since I added an hour meter to it!) and I’m still amazed every day what that little thing is capable of doing. Its such a workhorse! It pushes my 18+ foot boat, loaded like no boat should be loaded, at 3.5+ ,mph ALL day without so much as a whimper. Top speed wide open for that little bugger pushing my boat is about 5.5 – 6 Mph. The high thrust lower unit proves its worth by allowing exceptional control… I’m able to troll a tight contour in the worst conditions without sliding or constant over corrections. The slow troll speed is amazing. Add in the fact that you get electric trim/tilt AND electric start for pull start money for a four stokes from other manufacturers, I can’t invision buying anything else.

    Awesome product.

The 175 HPDI I’m running is also as impressive. Its the quiestest, smoothest motor I’ve ever run or been around and is light years ahead of the Merc I had last year. Not only is it quieter and MUCH more fuel efficient but its also considerably faster as well. On average, about 3-5 MPH faster than the EFI.
