Fishing line shelf life

I normally use a specific type of fishing line when I go steelhead fishing and the local Gander Mtn only has one box hanging there and it’s all dusty – leading me to believe it has been there a while. Any idea how long line stays ‘good’ on the shelf.

    Thanks

As long as it has been out of the sun it should be OK. Shelf life is about 3 years. If it is real curly and a lot of memory, spool it up and soak it in warm water for awhile. This will take out the memory.

Thanks for the help. I guess I’ll go pick it up and check it for memory, Thanks again for the help.
