Kept 6 saugers today, not pool 4 saugers by any means but 2 were fat at 14inches, 2 at 15 inches and the biggest was 15.5 inches. A #7 Gold/Black Rapala was key for my catch today while pulling a three way up river in 15-22fow. Caught at least 20 some to keep the 6.
Long lining down river trying to match the current speed with the electric trolling motor using a 3/8oz Blue Precision jig head sportin’ an Oyster Ring worm caught some short fish also.

Headed for a submerged brush pile around 1 o’clock to find suspended crappies hovering anywhere from 8-12 feet in 15fow. The key bait for taking a dozen keepers at 10-10.5 inches was a Pink Glow Brite Demon Jig tipped with a minnow head.

Headed back to Sparta with a darn nice fish fry

    Good luck fishing people

Yummy! Pool 11 was good this weekend, too. Didn’t spend much weekend on the water, was mostly chasing deer. Nice fish and enjoy! Nothing like some fresh saugs for a swim in Crisco Bay.

Great job. No fish is safe when you are out and about. Hey Jeff.

Well done buddy! Looks like you got off the water just in time to let the wind die down. The river was flat as it gets when I was on my way home.

    Nice fish Bret!
Fresh caught saugers and crappies should make for a heck of a good fish fry.
