She is getting darker by the hour, if the weather keeps up like this its not going to be long. The barges are moving through the lake with no problems and it looks as if the ice at the bottom is the lake is disapearing at about 100 yds a day this week.

Talked to a guy from Lake City today that said he figured if we had any hard rain today, it may be gone very soon. Bring on the open water!!!

Just drove to wabasha and back here to Lake city. The Ice has receeded from all the banks and is cracking alot. I would say that some wind could clear the lake out pretty quick, It is cracked pretty bad all ther way up to Kings coulee pier. It will be soon!

Ice is out on Pepin. Both ramps at Lake City look to be in good shape but no docks out yet. Don’t look good at Maple Springs, not much water yet. Didn’t get down to LaCop to see whats going on.

Yup had my boat out of the Roschen ramp this afternoon. The lake is open. The dock is not out but should be soon.
The Marina in Wabasha still has ice should be out in a couple days if the weather holds.

Yep!!! My 4 year old grandson who lives in Lake City saw that the ice was out when he and his mom went for their walk today and says its time to go fishing. [Smart Kid] Hes in love with the river already!
    Thanks, Bill
