What a summer for weather

River is about 3+ feet high and we’re about to get pounded again by rain. I’m not complaining because I’ve caught more nice bass this year than I can remember, and usually by this point in the summer I’m wishing for some more flow, but this has been quite the summer.

I’ve got the same “problem” with walleye. I’ve caught more big walleye on the river in the last month than I’ve seen in my life. The high water is going to be a real problem next spring, but for right now it’s been great.

All of 2 years straight, dealing with the higher than normal water levels and flow. It has really taken it’s toll on the weed beds this year. Cruising backwaters hasn’t been easier for keeping the prop clean. The hard part for me has been finding defined underwater weed lines.
But I do agree KwikStik, the pike and Bass bite have been very good when ever I have been able to get out.

Wonder what the first ice shorelines are going to be like to deal with this year.
