Lock and Dam 1 open to public during Highland Fest 2011
ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will
host an open house at Lock and Dam 1, located near Minnehaha Park in
Minneapolis, Saturday, July 16, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tours of the lock and dam, which is located next to the Ford Bridge, will be
held throughout the day. This open house is being held in conjunction with
Highland Fest 2011.

public in the areas of environmental enhancement, navigation, flood damage
reduction, water and wetlands regulation, recreation sites and disaster
