Ok, so I got the go ahead to get out this weekend. Anyone know if the white bass are still hitting good, and are the walleyes easy to find (and hopefully catch) for an 18 y.o. river newbie??? I have been on it many times before-but for smallies and largemouths. Looking to head down to Everts Resort to launch (I’ll give him a chance!) and go from there. Any help would be awesome! If I don’t get into what I want, there are always smallmouth bass willing to snap at a chatterbait!

    Thanks guys

There’s a very good white bass bite going on right now.

The walleye bite has been on fire for the past few weeks and should continue to get better.

Pulling lead anywhere from the head of the lake down to Lake City should get you some fish eventually. It’s also a great way to learn the river as well.

any idea what they are hitting?
i should be dry running my TWO boats this weekend!! Both motors are running, now it’s time to test the IO!! If the downrigger gear comes in, we should have that on also. Purchased a mast, but the guy doesn’t have any base plates. Looking for some time on the water!!

No, I didn’t ask. I would guess anything that moves!

You’ll have to check in at Everts for that answer.

I think it was Thursday night one of the cabins had a HUGE white bass feed. Jesse Krook should know though…

Crank baits casted, ringworms and other plastics pitched should be a good starting point for whipe bass,

We picked up 9 walleye and sauger in one pass trolling 6-8′ of water on Monday evening unfortunately motor troubles limited our time on the water

Walleye bite has been good. Trolling cranks, 3-way rigging bait, dragging jigs/bait, pitching plastics or hair jigs in low flow areas has been good for numbers of fish and numbers of big fish.

The post spawn walleye bite this past month has been a typical high water post spawn bite…….fish are hungry and eat good when you put something in front of them. It is hard for them to locate food in the extremely high water we have had the past 2 months.
