put the boat in at wilcox landing this am about 7. water is still high but should be going down this week. went to a favorite backwater spot and started casting spoons/gliders/spinners for pike. got bit by a 4lb smallmouth first on a 6in. jake. caught about 15 pike after the bass with the biggest being 32in. nothing as big as i was looking for but it’s still early. the weeds are coming up in the backwaters as deep as 6ft. down. water temps on mn side were 60 and wi side was 56. good luck out there and i’ll try 2 get some pics posted later 2 day…

Nice fish Wies! Thanks for sharing.

Started off a little cool and windy and ended up warmer and windy…but it sure feels good to be in a boat wet water fishing with out sno gear on!
